Liberal Lies and the Episcopal Church

The election of the Rev. V. Gene Robinson as Bishop of New Hampshire should be a warning to all those who seek to do business with the radical left. In particular, three liberal lies have been exposed.

The first is the lie that the Bible does not condemn homosexual behavior. Any honest reading of Scripture, without the "oh that refers to something different" and "it doesn't really mean that" will understand that homosexual behavior is condemned. This has been both the historic teaching of the church and the assessment of unbiased scholarship. But since liberals do not have to prove their point but only sow doubt about traditional teachings, this was apparently enough. An honest liberal would simply say, I know what the Bible teaches, but we believe otherwise. But none said it. Instead, their doctrinal charade is apparent.

The second liberal lie is that liberals are people of unity while conservatives divide people. What happened in the Episcopal Church this week should forever put that lie in its place. The National Episcopal Deputies and Bishops (Despite the good efforts of the Diocese of Florida) knew what their actions would precipitate, namely schism in the Anglican Communion. But they did it anyway. So much for unity. So much for restraint. When liberals use the unity argument, look out. You are about to get clobbered.

The third lie we heard out of Episcopal liberals this week was. "We love our church." Really? Apparently, that love was not enough to lay down an extreme agenda for the sake of that church. Liberal "sorrow" at the reaction to the election of the Rev. Robinson rings hollow.

Watch out conservatives and moderates. When liberals talk about "diversity and inclusion," your values are about to be sold down the river. At least now we know more of the truth about left wing religionists and their tactics.Perhaps this realization will prepare us for the next left-wing assault. And we all know it is coming.
