A disturbing new trend in world politics?
|
|
And he did it without consulting the United Nations, Hans Blix, France, Germany, Russia, Wesley Clark or his spiritual advisor, Madonna. And what's worse, the liberal democrats hadn't even informed us yet whether there were any WMD in Libya or not. Congress hadn't even voted on it yet. This is very upsetting! No UN resolutions, no twelve years of non-compliance, no speeches by democratic presidential candidates and no comments by Mohammed el Barradi. This is most irregular and unacceptable! I'm sure by Monday the UN will pass a resolution saying this can't happen. It shouldn't happen. Why the UN will even have to take Libya off of its nuclear disarmament committee! Libya has just become too peaceful for its own good. Here is all it took. A few bombs from Ronald Reagan, well placed, and the capture of Saddam Hussein. A statistic for the 21st century: The only two Arab dictators we have bombed are both now complying. But that is another subject for another time. What upsets me today is Libya's unilateralism. Don't they realize the world is interconnected? Can't we at least have some discussions about this? Isn't there just a little time for Hillary to go before the Council on Foreign relations to tell us she is "worried" and "concerned" about this development? Could we at least give her some time to make up stories about troops in our armed forces not agreeing with this policy? We have to stop this unadulterated rush to peace. No, this is indeed a new world order now. I'm just not sure we can live with Libyan preemption to peace. Think of it! A world where one nation preemptive and unilaterally disarms. The world is a more dangerous place today, my friends. The question is: What will the UN, the liberal democrats and the Old Europeans do about it? They have to find a way to stop it. Before it is too late. Before the politics of appeasement is lost forever! John Pendleton |
